5 November 2009 Rebuilding the CV joints
A friend, Lance who runs the Australian Delorean Forum helped me refurbish the CV Joints. You certainely learn a lot doing things yourself.
12 September 2009 : Into the Valley of Death
I had read so many stories on the forum about the Valley of Death and the way some bolts jammed and broke, that I was nervous going in. I must have been blessed as I got the whole thing dis-assembled and didn't break off one single bolt.
15 August 2009 : Slave Cylinder
This shows the state of the clutch slave cylinder. I will be replacing the whole system and putting in a stainless steel line.
25 April 2009 : Continuing to strip the rear end.
Removed the trailing arms and the hub carriers and axles. I had one dam pivot bolt stick, lower one on the passenger side. All others came out with a bit of effort. I will be replacing the TABs with TOBY TABs I picked up on Ebay.
18 April 2009 : Starting on the rear end
6380 has only done around 20,000 miles by the odomoter, but as you can see they still look messy when pulled apart.
5 March 2009 Refurbished frame and parts
I only had one really bad rust hole in the front frame extension. I had this cut out and I treated the area with rust killer and preventative. A new plate was fabricated and welded in place. Here you can also see the headlight buckets and other parts back from the powdercoaters. Also all the brakes rebuilt, discs machined and new brake lines.
